Charity sees the NEED, not the CAUSE – German Proverb

Ashvattha is and will always be grateful to all the donors you have realized the NEED and stepped forward to help and make sure the need is met. A famous Native American Proverb says “We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children. We certainly bear the responsibility of giving it back to the future generation in a better form.

Last month, our team received a request through one of our volunteer to help a 13 year old girl named Manjusha who is diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (A type of cancer of the blood and bone marrow with excess immature white blood cells).

Manjusha’s father Mahender works in travel agency at Metpally, Karimnagar. He earns Rs:5000/- per month and he’s the only source of income for his family. Manjusha was initially diagnosed with fever in Chelamada Hospital in Karimnagar and later referred to Niloufer Hospital in Hyderabad. Here after performing blood work and other lab tests she was diagnosed with 2nd stage of Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Manjusha currently referred to MNJ Institute Of Oncology Regional Cancer Centre from Niloufer Hospital. Ashvatta volunteers met Manjusha and her father (Mahender) and donated a check of Rs:30,000/- for her further treatment. Hope this little girl will find the cure and fight the destiny to survive and find a better future!
