Through one of the volunteers, Team Ashvattha received a request to help a boy, Master. Sappidi Yuvan, suffering from Cryptogenic Chronic Liver disease. In this kind of liver disease, scar tissue replaces soft, healthy liver tissue. As scar tissue builds up, the liver becomes hard and slowly cuts off blood circulation in the liver. This interferes with the liver’s many important functions, including the ability to process nutrients and filter toxins. In extreme cases, like Yuvan’s, the liver stops working and the child will need a liver transplant. He needs this transplant as a life saving measure, at the earliest for the cure of his condition.
Our volunteers visited the boy in Apollo hospital and donated a 25k check on behalf of Ashvattha for his ongoing treatment . We pray for Yuvan’s speedy recovery.
